You will begin your journey along the ‘Golden Sun Road’ towards the sophisticated resort town of Santa Margherita. There are many sites to see in this little town including the Castle built in the 1550s, the Basilica of St Margaret of Antiochia which was built on top of the remains of a 13th-century church, the Villa Durazzo Complex which includes a beautiful park & castle, and the now privately owned Cervara Abbey.
You will then continue to Portofino. Once a small fishing village with quaint streets, & authentic shops, Portofino is now a beautiful small harbor & holiday resort, and a popular destination for celebrities. With its charming colored houses overlooking the square, it is easy to see why this relaxed village is a must-see destination. You will have the chance to browse the charming shops or take time out in one of the cafes or bars.
There are many points of interest to see and do in Portofino, including the Christ of the Abyss, Church of St George, Castello Brown & Church of St Martin.
