Khao Kheow’s rich wildlife depended on the early stages of its development when it was only classified as a national forest reserve. After a change in its administration, the reserve spread up to 2,000 acres to occupy more terrain.
Now open for over 32 years, the Zoo is now a cherished resource for the region.
Divided now into three types of forests, in the park you can enjoy several activities:
Khao Kheow Open Zoo-Learn about the 300 different species populating this sanctuary and enjoy trekking activities, feeding programs, zip line and much more.
Journey to the jungle-An exhibition to educate visitors to appreciate some rare animals in stress-free environments taken by a staff of specialists.
Animal safari-Take a ride on a private transportation to have an orientation tour of the sanctuary.
