Highlights

Wuhan
Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province in China and a major port on the Yangtse River. Wuhan once consisted of three separate cities; Hanyang, Hankou, and Wuchang. Hanyang was a busy port as long as 3,000 years ago in the Han Dynasty. Yellow Crane Tower was first built in 223BCE and gained fame throughout China through the poetry of Cui Hao during the Tang Dynasty. Wuchang has been a center of learning for centuries, especially in the field of the arts. It became a provincial capital in the Yuan Dynasty. In 1927, Hanyang, Hankou, and Wuchang were united to form the city of Wuhan. The city fell under siege by the Japanese during WWII and was liberated in 1949. With the opening of China, Wuhan was reopened in 1992 for the first time since the revolution. Today, Wuhan is one of China's largest cities and remains an important center of commerce. While many visitors overlook Wuhan as just another city, beneath its industrial exterior a rewarding tapestry of history and cultural arts awaits.
Wuhan East Lake
East Lake is a lake in the city of Wuhan. It is one of Wuhan's unique attractions with beautiful scenery and rich Chu culture. The East Lake is mainly divided into four areas: Ting Tao Scenic Area, Moshan Scenic Area, Luoyan Scenic Area and Chuidi Scenic Area. Among them, Moshan Scenic Area is suitable for enjoying flowers. The Luoyan Scenic Area can be visited for bird watching and flute playing. The Ting Tao Scenic Area is a good place for leisure and fun with friends.
Yellow Crane Tower
The Yellow Crane Tower is one of the Four Great Towers of China. Sitting atop Snake Hill, on the banks of the Yangtze River, this iconic building is one of the most celebrated landmarks in Wuhan. While tourists flock to see the upturned turrets which define this yellow-tiled pagoda, the tower also has a long and colourful history. There are a number of legends which tell the tale of how the Yellow Crane Tower came to be. The most widely told is the story of a wine merchant named Xin. Today, the tower stands proudly in the centre of Wuhan. The inner wall of the building is now home to an exquisite mosaic artwork which stretches out over multiple storeys and tells the story of the Yellow Crane Tower.
