Overview

This excursion will give you a chance to appreciate some of the most atmospheric landscapes that the island of Mauritius has to offer its visitors. We will begin our journey of discovery of the southern part of the island from Curepipe, a road that leads up gently to Trou-aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater walled with dense vegetation.

Black River Gorges National Park
Black River Gorges National Park is a national park in the hilly south-western part of Mauritius. It was proclaimed on June 15, 1994 and is managed by the National Parks and Conservation Service. It covers an area of 67.54 km² including humid upland forest, drier lowland forest and marshy heathland.
Chamarel 7 Coloured Earths
The seven Coloured Earths are a geological formation and prominent tourist attraction found in the Chamarel plain of the Rivière Noire District in south-western Mauritius. It is a relatively small area of sand dunes comprising sand of seven distinct colours.
Chamarel Waterfall
These picturesque, 272-ft. waterfalls can be viewed from an upper deck & base with shallow swimming.
Mare aux Vacoas Reservoir
Mare aux Vacoas is the largest reservoir in Mauritius. It is located in Plaines Wilhems, in the southwest of the island, to the south of the town of Curepipe. It has a capacity of 25,890,000 cubic metres and provides water to the upper Plaines Wilhems and to Moka.It was constructed in 1885
Port Louis
Port Louis is the capital city of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean. It's known for its French colonial architecture and the 19th-century Champ de Mars horse-racing track. The Caudan Waterfront is a lively dining and shopping precinct. Nearby, vendors sell local produce and handicrafts at the huge Central Market. The Blue Penny Museum focuses on the island’s colonial and maritime history, along with its culture.
The Holy Lake of Grand Bassin
Grand Bassin in Mauritius should be on your ‘must see’ list of attractions. The sacred lake also called Ganga Talao represents the mighty Ganges river of India. You'll find her tucked away in the mountains of the South West surrounded by colourful Hindu temples and gods.
