Sao Bento Station
São Bento Railway Station is a 20th-century railway terminal in the civil parish of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória, in the municipality of Porto, district of Porto. The English translation of São Bento is Saint Benedict.

As you step off the vehicle, you will now embark on your guided walk through the beautiful historic town of Porto. Nearly all major monuments are in the old part of the town, which is located very close to one another. Amongst this beautiful city, our guides will point out the following landmarks:

  • Torre dos Clerigos
  • Lello
  • Santa Catarina Street
  • Sao Bento Station

Stunning monuments that you will see along the way in your walking tour through Porto. Continue through to Ribeira, Porto’s famous old quarters, where you will move onto the next stop on your tour, the charming Flower Street, embrace the quaint and wonderful street with your guide. Anyone who comes to Porto without visiting Ribeira cannot truly say they have been there at all! This wonderful unique quarter holds a lot of history and medieval stories, as you walk along the cobblestone alleyways. Take in the marvelous architecture, whilst keeping an eye out for the passing fishing boats in the water!

As you make your way back to the meeting point, you will witness another historic landmark, Palacio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) built in the 19th century and was designed to become the headquarters of the Porto Commercial Association.

Now you will head back to the vehicle, ready for your journey back to the port to join your cruise ship in plenty of time for its departure.
