Upon arrival in Cadiz you will enter Puerta Tierra. This is the dividing line between modern and old Cadiz. Cadiz is a diverse city. On one side are the wide promenades, beaches, and modern marina offering sailing and other watersports, and on the other side is the more historical quarter of Cadiz. The old town of El Populo and La Vina, the fishing district, gives the chance to see a traditional Spanish old town which is still up and running and very popular with visitors.
