Our tour starts in Corfu port from here we go on a scenic drive to the Koum Kouat distillery in Agia Ioannis. The Koum Kouat fruit is a specialty of the island. It is a Chinese fruit brought by the British in the 19th century and looks like a very small orange with a bittersweet flavor. The liqueur is very famous in Corfu because it is said that it's the only place in the world you can find it. Here you can taste it for free and as well local extra virgin olive oil, which was the most important product of Corfu for hundreds of years, and today the island is covered by more than 3 million olive trees, and some of them are older than 1000 years!
