Highlights

Pichai Yuan
The Pichai Yuan is located in Qingdao City. The Pichai Yuan road is also called Jangling Road. It was built in 1902, after the German occupation of Qingdao. The alleys of PiChai Yuan (PiChai Courtyard) are filled with traditional Chinese charm and amazing fresh food. The street is packed with stalls and restaurants offering Qingdao’s famous seafood. This is the perfect place to try some delicious food while enjoying the atmosphere of this Old Town treasure.
Qingdao
Qingdao is regarded by some Chinese as one of the most beautiful and clean cities in China. It has a population of around 3.5 million (8 million regional) and is the largest city in Shandong Province. The name Qingdao means The Blue/Green Island. In 2012, Qingdao was named China's most livable city. While Qingdao has a long history, the eastern half of the city has been built since 1993, and there is no sign of it slowing down. In 2008, it hosted the sailing events of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Qingdao is an ideal destination if you want to combine sea-side fun with your trip to China. Qingdao does not have swarming markets, unpredictable traffic and intense street commerce. The city is relatively clean and orderly and might give the impression of an upcoming wanna-be Singapore.
Qingdao Beer Museum
Qingdao Beer Museum, which lies on the old site of the Tsingtao Brewery Company, which is a world-famous manufacturing enterprise special in brewing. German Beer Company Qingdao Branch established in 1903, China’s first brewing factory that built with European technology was the predecessor of the Tsingtao Brewery Company. At present, the Qingdao Beer Museum owns 55 brewing factories and malt factories in 18 cities and provinces in China. The one-hundred-year old Tsingtao Beer has created its own history and culture.
Qingdao Wine Museum
The Qingdao Wine Museum is built out of a huge underground bunker, located in the heart of Wine Street. The museum ss decorated like a fine establishment, but filled with tacky props, including wax figures of wine makers and a statue to the “god of wine”. The museum’s main attraction is a huge cellar filled with wines imported from all around the world. Visitors get to sample a wine selection of these wines, and are given a glass to top it off.
TaiDong market
Taidong Pedestrian Street is located in the north of Qingdao and is a famous commercial pedestrian street in the city. The buildings on both sides of the pedestrian street are painted with murals, producing a unique color gallery. The pedestrian street has a large number of retail outlets, including large shopping malls, small and medium-sized stores, as well as a wide variety of snacks. If you have time, the Taidong Commercial District is well worth exploring.
