Itinerary

10:00

The tour will take you on a scenic journey close to the center of Gijon where we will embark on a short walking tour of the historical center. Your English-speaking guide will be accompanying you throughout giving you the stories and the history of this beautiful quaint destination, before allowing a little free time to explore.

After the free time, we will walk from the walls to the beach of San Lorenzo, admire the bay of Gijon, and the beautiful sandy stretch of golden sands that go on for 1.5kms. There will be plenty of photo opportunities of this breathtaking view before continuing on our walking tour to the Labor University.

The Labor University was built between 1946 and 1955 and is considered to be the largest building in Spain. This magnificent site was restored to its grand glory from early 2001 to 2007. Here we will be able to visit inside before having a little free time for photographs or to explore by yourselve.

After leaving the University we will then board the coach to continue to our final visit to the Mirador de Providencia. Once the coach has stopped you will experience the most amazing views overlooking the Bay of Gijon, boasting spectacular scenery. Time will be given before boarding the coach to drive back to the cruise ship port in plenty of time for your cruise ship’s departure.
