Highlights

Avatar Hallelujah Mountain
Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, also known as Southern Sky Column, is the prototype of the Hallelujah Mountain in the famous American epic science fiction film “Avatar”. The mountain with peculiar shape has a vertical height of about 150 meters (165 yards) and has lush vegetation on the top.
He Long Park
Located in Tianzi Mountain, He Long Park was founded in 1986. He Long, born in Sangzhi County in 1896, was one of the Ten Marshals of the People’s Republic of China. Tianzi Mountain was one of the places where He Long once led his army to fight in the 1930s. The Statue of He Long stands in the park in order to let more people to konw and remember Marshal He Long.
Sky Field Garden
Sky Field Garden is a small area of paddy fields, seemingly hanging on an outcrop surrounded by Zhangjiajie's typical peaks. The paddy fields are farmed by local ethnic people.
The Bailong Elevator
The Bailong Elevator is a glass elevator built onto the side of a huge cliff in the Wulingyuan area of Zhangjiajie, which is 326 m high. It is claimed to be the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. Construction of the elevator began in October 1999, and it was opened to the public by 2002. The environmental effects of the elevator have been a subject of debate and controversy, as the Wulingyan area was designated a World Heritage Site in 2002. Operations were stopped for 10 months in 2002–2003, reportedly due to safety concerns, not environmental ones. On 15 July 2015, the elevator was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's tallest outdoor lift.
The First Bridge under the Sun
The First Bridge under the Sun, also known as Rocky Natural Bridge is about 2 meters wide and 5 meters thick. It spans 25 meters between two mountains and has a vertical height of 400 meters. It is a rocky natural bridge with the largest vertical height found in the world so far. However, visitors are not allowed to step onto it for safety’s sake and can only appreciate it at a distance.
Tianzi Mountain
Tianzi Mountain is a mountain located in Zhangjiajie in the Hunan Province of China, close to the Suoxi Valley in South Central China. Before Ming Dynasty, Tianzi Mountain was known as "Qingyan Mountain" for green stones. The mountain is named after the early Ming dynasty's farmer Xiang Dakun of the Tujia ethnic group, who led a successful local farmers' revolt and called himself "Xiang Wang Tianzi", meaning son of Heaven and is the traditional epithet of the Chinese emperor. The highest pillar of Tianzi Mountain is Kunlun Peak with an elevation of 1,262.5 meters and the lowest pillar is Shilanyu with an elevation of 534 meters.
Yuanjiajie Area
Yuanjiajie, located in the north of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, is a mountain platform with an area of about 1,200 hectares and an average altitude of 1,074 meters. It has the prototype of the Hallelujah Mountain in the film Avatar and there are many peaks and valleys. So far, there are some Tujia people living in the Yuanjiajie, from whom one can experience the Tujia customs.
Zhangjiajie
Zhangjiajie, also known in Tujia language as Zhangx jif avlar, is a prefecture-level city in the northwestern part of Hunan Province, China. It comprises the district of Yongding, Wulingyuan and counties of Cili and Sangzhi. It contains the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, part of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area which was as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 as well as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a national forest park located in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China. It is one of several national parks within the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. In 1982, the park was recognized as China's first national forest park with an area of 4,810 ha. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is part of a much larger 397.5 km2 Wulingyuan Scenic Area. In 1992, Wulingyuan was officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most notable geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park. Although resembling karst terrain, this area is not underlain by limestones and is not the product of chemical dissolution, which is characteristic of limestone karst. They are the result of many years of physical, rather than chemical, erosion.

The guide will pick you up at the hotel you are staying in Zhangjiajie.

You will be driven to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

The first place you visit will be Tianzi Mountain where you can get by cable car. Walk on the top of the mountain and enjoy the amazing views.

Then you will take a shuttle bus to Sky Field Garden where you can see rice paddies cultivated by locals.

The last stop will be Yuanjiajie Area where you can have lunch and then admire Hallelujah Mountain or Avatar Mountain.

When the tour ends, the guide will drop you off to the hotel.
