Highlights

Fortezza Nuova
This fort, situated in a body of water, was designed by Bernardo Buontalenti & completed in 1604.
Livorno
Livorno is an Italian port city on the west coast of Tuscany. It’s known for its seafood, Renaissance-era fortifications and modern harbor with a cruise ship port. Its central Terrazza Mascagni, a waterside promenade with checkerboard paving, is the city’s main gathering place. The bastions of the 16th-century Fortezza Vecchia face the harbor and open onto Livorno’s canal-laced Venezia Nuova quarter.
Livorno's "Little Venice"
Away from the busy streets of the town centre, the Venezia district - Livorno's version of 'little Venice' - offers a glimpse of historic Livorno as it was in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the port of Livorno was developing as one of the most important in the Mediterranean and the new city was inhabited by many foreign communities who set up business here.
Terrazza Mascagni
This beautiful square overlooking the sea, with its very special black and white checkered floor, is one of the most beautiful places in the city: from here you can enjoy a breathtaking view, admire the shades of blue waves against the sky and soak in the sunset.
The Quattro Mori statue
The Monument of the Four Moors is located in Livorno, Italy. It was completed in 1626 to commemorate the victories of Ferdinand I of Tuscany over the Ottomans. It is the most famous monument of Livorno and is located in Piazza Micheli.
