You will be collected from the harbor and then your tour of this bustling city will begin, Durban is often called the cultural ‘melting pot’ of South Africa and this tour will show you many examples of this.  Your excursion begins with a drive through the sports corridor with its impressive sporting facilities to the Blue Lagoon area on the Umgeni River where you will get to see a panoramic view of the whole of Durban Bay.

The tour continues past the former Apartheid Beaches and the Marine Parade (Golden Mile) where you will see the rickshaws owners plying their trades and then you move onto the impressive developments at the new Point Waterfront area. We will drive past the busiest harbor in Africa and look at various historical monuments before heading through the city center where the second railway station, the City Hall, and the Post Office buildings each have a there own place in history along with a story to tell. We stop at the Indian Market where you get a glimpse into the Indian culture and bargain for souvenirs and spices. Our last visit is to the Botanical Gardens with its extensive collection of trees and plants from all over the world. From here you will be provided with a return transfer to your ship, you will also have the option of being dropped off at the end of the tour at the Ushaka Marine world which has a world-class aquarium as well as many shops and restaurants.

You will need to make your own way back to your ship and full details of how to do this will be available from your tour guide.
