Highlights

Erawan Falls
Erawan Falls is located on the east side of the Erawan National park. The waterfall is named after the top tier which said to be resembling a three-headed white elephant in Hindu mythology. It has 7 major tiers and a few smaller tiers. All tiers are accessible by a series of trails and footbridges all the way up to the 6th tier. The last tier is accessible by scrambling up to a few cliffs, for those who like a bit more challenge. Recently, a concrete path was built to make it safer to walk in wet conditions. The total distance from the trailhead up to the top tier is nearly 1.5 km. There are many emerald green ponds along the trails that the visitors are allowed to swim in. The ponds are full of fish.
Kwai River
Kwai River (The Khwae Yai River), also known as the Si Sawat, is a river in western Thailand. It has its source in the Tenasserim Hills and flows for about 380 kilometers through Sangkhla Buri, Si Sawat, and Mueang Districts of Kanchanaburi Province, where it merges with the Khwae Noi to form the Mae Klong River at Pak Phraek. In 1980, the Srinagarind Dam on the Khwae Yai was completed in Si Sawat District of Kanchanaburi Province. It is an embankment dam for river regulation and hydroelectric power generation.
Kwai River Bridge
The famous bridge of the Burma Railway crosses the river at Tha Makham Subdistrict of the Mueang District. However, this is not the same bridge as depicted in The Bridge on the River Kwai by Pierre Boulle and in its film adaptation. A bridge was built of wood approximately 100 meters upriver from the current bridge, during the construction of the iron and concrete bridge (which runs in an NNE-SSW direction) and also rebuilt in 1945 when the iron bridge was bombed. No remnants of the wooden bridge remain.
Pattaya
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it’s now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay.
Wat Tham Sua
The temple is set at the top of a hill, facing the Mae Klong Dam and surrounded by a vast expanse of rice paddies. Climb up 157 steep steps, where a giant golden Buddha will await you at the top, resting in the semicircular dome of the 'aura'. The main decorative features of the temple, the multi-row pediments and door arches, which were based on an octagonal base, are a specific layout found only in this temple.
