Highlights

Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park
Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park is an archeological site in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand. Along with Sukhothai Historical Park and Si Satchanalai historical park, it is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns. Major features in the Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park include archaeological remains of ancient sites such as Mueang Chakangrao to the east of the Ping River, Mueang Nakhon Chum to the west and Mueang Trai Trueng some 18 km from the town to the southwest. Chakangrao, the ancient Kamphaeng Phet town, had the same town planning concept as the old Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai, with separate zones for religious sites both within and outside of town limits. Structures are usually large and made of laterite. Religious sites on the west bank of the Ping River at Nakhon Chum are built of bricks and of smaller size.
Pattaya
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it’s now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay.
Phra Ruang Hot Spring
Phra Ruang Hot Spring (Bueng Sap), naturally, has 5 spots of hot spring rising from underground. The temperature is approximately 40-65. Rumor has it that the water from the hot spring brings about luck for those who take it back home. According to the test by the Ministry of Public Health, there is neither contaminant nor dangerous diseases that are more dangerous than the standard Legend has it that when Phra Ruang was young, he liked to travel to the deserted area. His journey to any place mostly resulted in legends. It is said that Phra Ruang had a lot of power as a result of his accumulated merit. He could make himself invisible, recite Trai Thep Wittayakom magic formula, and make everything he said come true.
Sukhothai Historical Park
Sukhothai Historical Park covers the ruins of Sukhothai, literally 'dawn of happiness', the capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries, in north-central Thailand. It is near the city of Sukhothai, the capital of Sukhothai Province. The city's walls form a rectangle about 2 km east-west by 1.6 km north-south. There are 193 ruins on 70 km2 of land. There is a gate in the center of each wall. Inside are the remains of the royal palace and twenty-six temples, the largest being Wat Mahathat. The park is maintained by the Fine Arts Department of Thailand with help from UNESCO, which has declared it a World Heritage Site. Each year, the park welcomes thousands of visitors.
The Wat Tha Sung Crystal Temple
The Wat Tha Sung Crystal Temple is also known as Wat Chantharam and it was built long ago, back in the days of Ayutthaya. However, years later, in 1789, a monk by the name of Luang Pho Yaii was approached by the villagers and asked to be the head of the temple (abbot). He took the part, renovated the temple, and over the years further structures have been added to the complex, yet the chief attraction is the main hall – which is the largest, most impressive part of the temple. Although the Wat Tha Sung structure of the temple is not so special, once you step into the huge space of the main hall, you immediately feel in awe, mesmerized by the spectacular sight that surrounds you. Instead of the gold, you see in most temples – this one features mirrors and crystals, which cover both the roof and the inside parts.
Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Temple
Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, colloquially referred to as Wat Phra Si or Wat Yai, is a Buddhist temple (wat) in Phitsanulok Province, Thailand, where it is located on the east bank of Nan River, near Naresuan Bridge and opposite Phitsanulok Provincial Hall. It is about 337 km from Bangkok.
