Highlights

Broome
Broome, also known as Rubibi by the Yawuru people, is a coastal, pearling and tourist town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, 1,681 km (1,045 mi) north of Perth. The urban population was 14,445 in June 2018 growing to over 45,000 per month during the peak tourist season (June to August).
Broome Port
The Port of Broome is the largest deep-water access port servicing the Kimberley region and is open to shipping on a 24 hours basis seven days a week. The port supports livestock export, offshore oil and gas operations, pearling, fishing, charter boats, cruise liners and is the main fuel and container receival point for the region.
Chinatown (Broome)
Chinatown is Broome's primary business, retail and entertainment area and holds an important place as part of Broome's identity.
Gantheaume Point
Gantheaume Point is a promontory about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Broome, Western Australia. It was named on 24 July 1801 for Honoré Joseph Antoine Ganteaume, by Nicolas Baudin during the Baudin expedition to Australia: this was a French expedition to map the coast of Australia, then known as New Holland. There are outcrops of Broome Sandstone, deposited in shallow water in this area in the Early Cretaceous period, about 130 million years ago. Footprints from dinosaurs of that time, and plant fossils, are preserved in the sandstone. At very low tide, dinosaur footprints can be seen about 30 metres (98 ft) out to sea.
Japanese Cemetery
The Japanese Cemetery is situated on Port Drive, next to the Chinese Cemetery. It is the largest Japanese cemetery in Australia and dates back to 1896.
Matso's Broome Brewery
Matsos's Broome Brewery provides a large range of specialized beers for any occasion. Located in the beautiful north of Western Australia.
