Overview

Today Lanzhou is the capital of Gansu province, and several centuries ago it was the main stop on the famous Silk Road called the Golden City. Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, Lanzhou was considered the centre of Hexi, a corridor of oases connecting east and west of China. It was here, according to the researchers, where the Chinese civilization was born. Explore this culturally rich and geographically beautiful city on a private walking tour and you’ll see all sorts of religions integrating into one community.
