Highlights

Laoshan Mountain
As the only mountain rises by the sea among all famous Chinese mountains, the Lao Mountain of Qingdao is the main mountain range of Shandong Peninsular. Its main peak, Jufeng Peak, 1132.7 meters above the sea level, is celebrated as the highest peak in China along the coastline. Surrounded by an 87-kilometer coastline, Mt. Laoshan offers marvelous spectacle on the sea with majestic peaks, precipitous gorges, limpid waters, fancy clouds and the beautiful sea with 18 islets. Being a famed Taoist mountain in China, Laoshan Mountain once had 72 Taoist temples housing thousands of Taoist priests in its hey day in the history. Legend has it that Qin Shi Huang (259-210B.C. the first emperor of Qin Dynasty), Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (156-87B.C.) once came to Lao Mountain to seek for immortality; moreover, the famous Taoist Kiu Chang Chun and Zhang Sanfeng (the Tai-chi Master) were once cultivated Taoism in Mount Laoshan. Most of the temples were destroyed while the Taiqing Temple is the largest reserved and the oldest one in Laoshan today.
Long tan Waterfall
Longtan Waterfalls, which are located in Ji’an of Jiangxi Province, are comprised of 5 pools and 18 waterfalls and famous for its beautiful scenery. Consists of 5 pools and 18 waterfalls, of which the first pool is the largest with a fall of 67 meters and the fifth is the prettiest with a natural diving platform.
Qingdao
Qingdao is regarded by some Chinese as one of the most beautiful and clean cities in China. It has a population of around 3.5 million (8 million regional) and is the largest city in Shandong Province. The name Qingdao means The Blue/Green Island. In 2012, Qingdao was named China's most livable city. While Qingdao has a long history, the eastern half of the city has been built since 1993, and there is no sign of it slowing down. In 2008, it hosted the sailing events of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Qingdao is an ideal destination if you want to combine sea-side fun with your trip to China. Qingdao does not have swarming markets, unpredictable traffic and intense street commerce. The city is relatively clean and orderly and might give the impression of an upcoming wanna-be Singapore.
Qingdao Beer Museum
Qingdao Beer Museum, which lies on the old site of the Tsingtao Brewery Company, which is a world-famous manufacturing enterprise special in brewing. German Beer Company Qingdao Branch established in 1903, China’s first brewing factory that built with European technology was the predecessor of the Tsingtao Brewery Company. At present, the Qingdao Beer Museum owns 55 brewing factories and malt factories in 18 cities and provinces in China. The one-hundred-year old Tsingtao Beer has created its own history and culture.
Taiqing Palace
The Taiqing Palace, a sacred Taoist Palace, lies on the southern slopes of the famous Mt. Laoshan in Qingdao. It is said that there were once nine palaces, eight temples and seventy-two nunneries on the mountain when Taoism was at its height of prosperity. Of all the existing buildings on the mountain, the Taiqing Palace is the largest and possesses the longest history. The significant point of interest about Taiqing Palace was that it was built in 140 BC during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-24 AD); it is reputed as the second most magnificent Taoist building in China. Although repaired on several occasions, the palace reserves the typical architectural style of the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD) which is quite unusual, as far as religious architecture of China is concerned.
