Highlights

Casa Mariquit
Casa Mariquit is the oldest of the heritage houses in Iloilo. Built in 1803, it was the house of Maria Javellana whose nickname was Mariquit. She was the wife of the former Vice President of the Philippines, Fernando Lopez, who served during the Elpidio Quirino and Ferdinand Marcos administrations. Mariquit's father was a banker and he used the ground floor of the house for his banking operations.
Iloilo Casa Real
Former 1901 center of government, this regal structure now serves as an event facility. The Old Capitol Building of Iloilo, renamed Casa Real De Iloilo in October 2016, is now considered a National Historical Site by the NHI (National Historical Institute). It is the old edifice fronting the Arroyo Fountain in Iloilo, Philippines.
Iloilo City
Iloilo City is on Panay Island in the Philippines. It's known for its Spanish colonial churches and old houses. On Jaro Plaza, Jaro Cathedral has a shrine to the local patron saint, Our Lady of the Candles. Nelly’s Garden is an iconic 1920s mansion. Museo Iloilo explores local history. The Iloilo Esplanade is a pathway along the Iloilo River. To the west, the 18th-century Miagao Church has an ornate sandstone facade.
Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral
Jaro Cathedral, formally known as Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Candles, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jaro. It is located in the district of Jaro in Iloilo City, Iloilo, on the island of Panay in the Philippines.
Lizares Mansion
The Lizares Mansion was built in 1937 by Don Emiliano Lizares for his wife, Concepcion Gamboa and five children. The family fled to safety when World War II broke out and the house was occupied by the Japanese military. The family returned to the house after the war but left once again after the demise of Don Emiliano. It was sold to the Dominican order in the 1960s and was converted in 1978 to a private school, Angelicum School. The mansion now houses the chapel. Andres Luna San Pedro was the architect of the mansion.
Lopez Boat House
The Iloilo Boathouse is a four-storey white mansion owned by Eugenio H. Lopez Sr. The name "Boathouse" was given by his children. The mansion is a "modern affair, sleekly done in an art deco style" designed by Architect Fernando Ocampo Sr. located in Iloilo. This stunning, four-storey mansion in La Paz, owned by former vice president Fernando Lopez, is totally unlike the other ornate, classical-style mansions in Iloilo. Designed in the 1930s by architect Fernando Ocampo Sr., the mansion is built in the Art Deco Streamline Moderne style, with its sleek, curved walls and eaves, and horizontal linear ornamentation. It was called a “Boathouse” because of its resemblance to a battleship with portholes.
Molo Mansion
Historic home in a picturesque locale offering a souvenir shop with artisanal gifts & a cafe.
Museo Iloilo
Museum featuring various fossils & historical artifacts, plus paintings and sculptures. Museo Iloilo, located along Bonifacio Drive in Iloilo City Proper, is the first gov’t sponsored museum outside Metro Manila. The museum building was designed by Ilonggo architect Sergio Penasales. The museum houses an impressive collection of Iloilo’s cultural heritage which includes stone age native pottery; fossils; jewelry; burial sites; trade pottery from China , Annam and Siam; era photos. Mementos and war relics; a British sunken ship; Spanish-era Filipino sculpture; and modern art done by Ilonggo artists and craftsmen.
Old Iloilo City Hall
The University of the Philippines Visayas Main Building, also sometimes referred to as the Old Iloilo City Hall, is a historic building in Iloilo City which currently serves as the primary building of the Iloilo City campus of the University of the Philippines (UP) the Visayas. It was previously used as the city hall for Iloilo City.
