Overview
The historic town of Durres, formerly Durrazzo, is one of the oldest towns in Albania. The legend says that it was founded by Epidamnos, the Illyrian King of the area, who called it by his own name and named the port area after his grandson – Dyrrah.

The Krujë castle is a castle in the city of Krujë, Albania and the center of Skanderbeg's rebellion against the Ottoman Empire.
Et'hem Bey Mosque
The Hadji Et'hem Bey Mosque is a mosque in Tirana, Albania. Closed under communist rule, the mosque reopened as a house of worship in 1991. Without permission from the authorities, 10,000 people attended and the police did not interfere.

National Museum George Kastrioti Skanderbeg
The National Museum "George Castrioti Skanderbeg", also known as the Skanderbeg Museum or the Kruja Museum, is located in Krujë and is one of the most important and visited museums in Albania. The museum was built at the end of the 70's and was inaugurated on November 1, 1982.
National Museum of History of Tirana
The National Museum of History is a historical museum in Tirana, Albania. It was opened on 28 October 1981 and is 27,000 square meters in size, while 18,000 square meters are available for expositions.
Tirana
Tirana, the capital of Albania, is known for its colorful Ottoman-, Fascist- and Soviet-era architecture. Pastel buildings surround the city's focal point, Skanderbeg Square, which is named for its equestrian statue of a national hero.
