Highlights

Cape Vlamingh
Cape Vlamingh is the western most point and most exposed area of Rottnest Island. There is no solid landmass between this point and Madagascar, 6,436 kilometres away.
Cathedral Rocks
Cathedral Rocks is best known for the seal viewing platform, where you can see seals frolicking in the water, and lazing on the rocks off shore.
Oliver Hill Guns
Oliver Hill is located close to the center of Rottnest Island and features military remnants from World War II.
Perth
Perth is a town in the Australian state of Tasmania. It lies 20 km south of Launceston, on the Midland Highway. Like nearby Longford, Perth is a historic town with many buildings dating back to the early 19th century. It is the first major town out of Launceston on the route to Hobart, and also serves as a major junction for people bypassing Launceston on the route from Hobart to the northwest of the state.
Rottnest Island
Rottnest Island sits just offshore from the city of Perth, in Western Australia. A protected nature reserve, it's home to the quokka, a small wallaby-like marsupial. White-sand beaches and secluded coves include the Basin, with its shallow waters, and Thomson Bay, the main hub and ferry port. Strickland Bay is known for its surf breaks, while reef breaks occur at Radar Reef, off the island's far western tip.
Wadjemup Lighthouse
Completed in 1849, the original 20-metre Wadjemup Lighthouse was Western Australia's first stone lighthouse and was built to provide a safer sailing passage for ships to Fremantle Port and the Swan River Colony. A second and larger replacement tower was built on the same site in 1896.
