Overview
In Kyrgyzstan, near the city of Osh, there is one of the main shrines of Muslims - the Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain. Located in the Fergana Valley, Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain is considered as the most complete example of a sacred mountain in Central Asia. There are legends that Zarathustra himself lived in one of the caves of the mountain and the famous collection of the sacred books of Zoroastrianism "Avesta" was written here. And most importantly, Sulaiman-Too was considered sacred in all periods of history. This is primarily evidenced by the petroglyphs on the walls of the caves. There are more than 400 of them here. You should definitely get here in order to experience the charm of this place.

Highlights

National Museum Complex Sulayman
The National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex Sulayman is a museum in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 1949 as the Osh Regional Museum. The present museum building was completed during the Soviet era in 1978 to celebrate the 3,000th anniversary of the city of Osh. It was carved inside the Sulayman Mountain, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The structure represents a glassed concrete arch that closes the entrance to the cave. The National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex Sulayman is one of the largest museums in Kyrgyzstan. The collections include more than 33,000 pieces of archaeological and ethnographic artifacts, works of handicrafts, paintings, sculptures, and graphics.
Osh
Osh is the second-largest city in Kyrgyzstan, located in the Fergana Valley in the south of the country and often referred to as the "capital of the south". It is the oldest city in the country and has served as the administrative center of the Osh Region since 1939. The city has several monuments, including one to the southern Kyrgyz "queen" Kurmanjan Datka and one of the few remaining statues of Lenin. A Russian Orthodox church, reopened after the demise of the Soviet Union, the largest mosque in the country (situated beside the bazaar), and the 16th-century Rabat Abdul Khan Mosque can be found here.
Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain
The Sulayman Mountain, also known as Sulaiman-Too, Sulayman Rock, or Sulayman Throne, is the only World Heritage Site located entirely in the country of Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the city of Osh and was once a major place of Muslim and pre-Muslim pilgrimage. The rock rises abruptly from the surrounding plains of the Fergana Valley and is a popular place among locals and visitors, with a splendid view.
