Maokong Tea plantations
Maokong has developed its unique sightseeing and tea tasting industry because students of nearby Chengchi University frequently hold activities here and the students’ nightlife brings about prosperity in the region. The tea farms here are famous for Bochon tea and Taiguan Ing. There are many teahouses with diversified styles.
Milky Lake
The Milk Lake is a lake in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. The lake is part of Yangmingshan National Park. The lake turns white due to the sulfurous fumes vented from the lake bed which turns the water murky. After gradually precipitating, the sulfur forms whitish-yellow or pale grey layers on the lake bed. The temperature of the lake is around 40 °C.
Taipei
Taipei, officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, ROC). Located in northern Taiwan, Taipei City is an enclave of the municipality of New Taipei City that sits about 25 km southwest of the northern port city of Keelung. Most of the city lies in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed. The basin is bounded by the relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.
The Maokong Gondola
The Maokong Gondola is a gondola lift transportation system in Taipei, Taiwan. Opened on 4 July 2007, the Maokong Gondola operates between Taipei Zoo and Maokong. The 4.3 km line has four passenger stations. The facilities of the gondola were contracted to the French company Poma.
The Thermal Valley
The Thermal Valley is a valley located on the foothill of Yangmingshan National Park in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. This makes Thermal Valley one of the sources of acidic sulfur hot spring in the area. Locals also sometimes refer to it as Hell Valley. The formula of this mineral water contains Plaster, Alunite, Jarosite, Realgar, Sulfur, and Radium. pH value is between 1.4~1.6, the highest temperature could be reached to 90 Celsius. It was one of the eight attractions and twelve scenic spots in Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period.
Xiaoyoukeng
Xiaoyoukeng is a post-volcanic geological landscape area located in the north of Taiwan in Yangmingshan National Park. at the northwestern foot of Seven Star Mountain. It is approximately 805 meters above sea level and is famed for the fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs, and spectacular 'landslide terrain' formed by post-volcanic activity.
Yangmingshan National Park
Yangmingshan National Park is one of the nine national parks in Taiwan, located between Taipei and New Taipei City. The districts that house parts of the park grounds include Taipei's Beitou and Shilin Districts; and New Taipei's Wanli, Jinshan and Sanzhi districts. The National Park is famous for its cherry blossoms, hot springs, sulfur deposits, fumaroles, venomous snakes, and hiking trails, including Taiwan's tallest dormant volcano, Seven Star Mountain (1,120 m).

Meet your guide at the hotel you are staying in Taipei or at the cruise port.

First, you will visit Yangmingshan National Park, its Beitou Thermal Valley and Xiaoyoukeng to enjoy the hot spring and fumaroles. Then you will see the Milk Lake which was named so because the sulfurous fumes vented from the lake bed which turns the water murky.

Then you will take a ride on Maokong Gondola to the Maokong tea plantation. There, you can taste Taiwanese tea with snacks or have lunch.

When the tour finishes, the guide will drop you off to the hotel or to the cruise port.
