Highlights

Bali Bird Park
The innovative Bali Bird Park arrived on Bali’s eco-tourism scene more than 20 years ago. Its owners, who have a life-long passion for all things avian, are committed to the preservation, conservation and breeding not just of Indonesia’s exotic bird life, but from other regions too. Bali Bird Park is divided into regions that recreate the natural habitats of its birds, complete with indigenous plant life. So come on a magical journey across the Indonesian archipelago, Latin America, Africa and Australia. Bali Bird Park plays a key role in protecting and conserving Indonesia’s endangered wildlife.
Batuan Village
Batuan is a village located approximately seven kilometers north of Denpasar and ten kilometers south of Ubud, is a favorite with the art center of Bali. It is known for the traditional style of painting, dancing, carving of wood panels. The local artist here has a small community where they are going to work and sell their painting to the visitors who are interested in visiting their village. Batuan has been a village of Balinese artwork and handicrafts for more than a thousand years. According to recorded history, Batuan village has a thousand-year-old history -begins in A.D. 1022, with an inscription in the main temple of the village, the Temple of the Village of Pura Desa Batuan. Batuan Village had to be there in the Age of the Warmadewa Dynasty in Bali. Eventual Batuan came to be called Batuan by the word Batu / Rock because, in those times, this region was a rocky region (in northern Batuan the renowned Balinese sandstones are still made), which is also known as Batuan Village because of daily changes in its pronunciation.
Denpasar
Denpasar is the capital city and main hub of the Indonesian province of Bali, in the southern part of the island. Laid-back Sanur Beach on the east coast offers sunrise views. The nearby Pura Blanjong Temple contains a stone pillar with a 10th-century inscription. The Bali Museum displays a large collection of Balinese cultural artifacts, including traditional costumes and religious items.
Goa Gajah
The Goa Gajah ‘Elephant Cave’ is an archaeological site on the cool western borders of Bedulu Village, 6 km out of central Ubud. To the unknowing, Goa Gajah’s name can be slightly misleading, often creating an impression that the site is a gigantic dwelling full of elephants. After taking the flight of stone steps down to the Goa Gajah temple complex, you often don't need more than an hour to explore and admire the relic-filled courtyard and view the rock-wall carvings. The site contains a namesake meditational cave, bathing pools and fountains.
Pura Desa Batuan Temple
Batuan Temple, referred to locally as Pura Puseh Lan Pura Desa Adat Batuan, is a focal landmark in the namesake village of Batuan that’s famous for its traditional Balinese paintings. Its well-preserved sandstone bas motifs and traditional Balinese temple architecture are its main draws. The 11th-century temple has a grand complex of shrines that face a separate large communal hall from where most visitors start their visit. During major temple ceremonies, towering fruit and flower offerings occupy this space. On other days, local artists and craftsmen display their latest work, from batiks to framed paintings and statuettes.
Pura Penataran Sasih
Pura Penataran Sasih is a Hindu temple in Pejeng village, Bali. The temple derived its name from an ancient bronze kettledrum which is now kept in the inner chamber. The kettledrum is about 2 meters in length; and it is locally known as the Moon of Pejeng, as one of the few relics of the Balinese Bronze Age, it is a great archeological find. The temple itself is huge and is home to many important statues making it a very unique and interesting landmark to visit.
Ubud
The town of Ubud, in the uplands of Bali, Indonesia, is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance. The surrounding Ubud District’s rainforest and terraced rice paddies, dotted with Hindu temples and shrines, are among Bali’s most famous landscapes. Ancient holy sites include the intricately carved Goa Gajah (“Elephant Cave”) and Gunung Kawi, with its rock-cut shrines.
