Highlights

Hiyoshi Shrine Kiyosu
Hiyoshi Shrine is located in Kiyosu.
Kirin Beer Nagoya Factory
In operation since 1962, Kirin Beer Nagoya Factory is the oldest beer factory in the Tokai area, but that doesn’t mean that it is a relic, by any stretch of the imagination. Its old factory (which is actually in Kiyosu city, 5km from Nagoya station) has since been renovated so visitors may watch the unique brewing kettles for boiling ingredients. With its operating history of more than 100 years in the beer industry, The Kirin Brewery Company focuses on "customers" and "quality." The Nagoya factory provides new value products mainly in the Tokai and Hokuriku areas.
Kiyosu
Kiyosu is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The city of Kiyosu was established on July 7, 2005 from the merger of the former town Kiyosu with the towns of Shinkawa and Nishibiwajima (all from Nishikasugai District). In Kiyosu city, there are many commercial facilities taking advantage of the geographical conditions that it is seated in the Greater Nagoya Region. It offers very convenient transportation system that provides easy access to surrounding cities including Nagoya. Kiyosu- castle, restored in 1989, was the castle which Oda Nobunaga made a starting point and he expanded from here to make an attempt to unify Japan long ago in the history. Exhibition in the premise of Kiyosu Castle offers a opportunity to know the history of Kiyosu Castle. It shares a twin symbol of Kiyosu city with Owari- Biwasjima Festival. It is a sister city of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The Kiyosu City Haruhi Painting Triennale, open to the entries beyond boarders, has been drawing domestic and international attention.
Kiyosu Castle
Kiyosu Castle, just outside of Nagoya to the north, was built in 1989. The original Kiyosu Castle, which was situated on the other side of the river, dated from the 14th-15th century. However, it was demolished on the orders of the Tokugawa shogunate in 1610 and parts of the castle were moved to build nearby Nagoya Castle. As the capital of the Owari domain was moved from Kiyosu to Nagoya in this period, the former castle town of 60,000 people lost its importance and gradually faded into obscurity. The recent renovation of the castle's interior has added audio-visual displays detailing the complicated history surrounding Kiyosu Castle as well as a collection of clothes worn by the actors and actresses portraying important historical figures of the age in historical dramas on TV.
Nagoya
With over two million inhabitants, Nagoya is Japan fourth most populated city. It is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and the principal city of the Nobi plain, one of Honshu's three large plains and metropolitan and industrial centers. Nagoya developed as the castle town of the Owari, one of the three branches of the ruling Tokugawa family during the Edo Period. Much of the city, including most of its historic buildings, were destroyed in the air raids of 1945. The Toyota Motor Corporation maintains its headquarters just outside of Nagoya.
