The Golden Circle is a day tour in the south of Iceland which covers around 270km, looping from the capital, Reykjavík, into the Highland and back. You'll travel from Reykjavík to Thingvellir National Park, a location of historical significance and a national park due to its unique geology and natural features.

Depart from the Port and start driving along the Golden Circle route.
Panoramic drive to Thingvellir National Park (about 40 minutes)
Stop for panoramic views and a short walk (about 30 minutes)
Drive to the waterfall and Gullfoss and Golden Falls (about 1 hour 15 minutes)
Time at the Falls (45 minutes).
Drive to the nearby geothermal active valley of Haukadalur where you can witness the geyser Strokkur erupt (45 minutes).
Return to the Port through the farmland of Southern Iceland and across Hellisheidi mountain plateau (about 2 hours).
