Itinerary
Day 1: Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, The Grotto and London Bridge, along the Shipwreck Coast
Departing Melbourne, we head first to Tower Hill – nestled inside a dormant sunken volcano, and a beautiful haven for Australian Wildlife. Koalas, Emus and Kangaroos often road freely throughout the reserve in a clear view. After lunch at Tower Hill, and during the winter months, we head to Logan’s Beach to see the whales that come to nurse their young each winter.
Then it’s straight on to adoring the Great Ocean Road, visiting the photogenic Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, The Grotto, and London Bridge, along the Shipwreck Coast. Spend some time swimming at one of these dazzling spots when the weather is hot. Heading up to the 12 Apostles for a remarkable sunset experience, it’s easy to see why this 2 Day Great Ocean Road Tour is worth every penny. An Aussie BBQ feast awaits us at our accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Loch Ard Gorge, 12 Apostles, Gibson Steps
After breakfast, we head to the beautiful Loch Ard Gorge, before heading back to the 12 Apostles to see them in the daylight. Here you have the opportunity to take a highly recommended helicopter flight. Climb the Gibson Steps to see the 12 Apostles from the beach, before driving the amazing Great Ocean Road coastline to Maits Rest and a guided walk through the Otway Rainforest.
