Highlights

Bai Tho Mountain
Bai Tho Mountain is one of the highest mountains in Ha Long, located at an altitude of 200m with half lying on land, half lying on the sea. Climbing to the top of the mountain you can admire the whole panorama of Ha Long City in a flash. After you climb to the top of Bai Tho Mountain, you will easily observe the Bai Chay Bridge.
Ha Long Bay
Halong Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. The Bay is dotted with 1,600 limestone islands and islets and covers an area of over 1,500 sqkm. This extraordinary area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. For many tourists, this place is like something right out of a movie. The fact is that Halong Bay features a wide range of biodiversity, while the surrealistic scenery has indeed featured in endless movies.
Ha Long Pearl Farm
The pearl farm is located near the Vung Vieng fishing village and is about 24 kilometers (15 miles) from the center of Halong city. In 1995, a Japanese owned pearl farm opened in Halong Bay close to Sung Sot Cave. When the business was doing well and it had proved its success, the farm was sold to new Vietnamese owners. The pearl farm is now owned by Halong Pearl Joint Stock Company. The pearls grow all year round and the farm has a permanent population of 15 people. In total the farm employs 40 people from all over the country. The farm is 74 acres and consists of roughly 3000 cages. When visiting the farm you’ll be able to see how long it takes for pearls to grow, harvested and extracted. You’ll come to find that pearl farming is an excruciatingly slow process.
Long Tien Pagoda
The largest pagoda in Halong, the Long Tien Pagoda has a unique architecture style of the Nguyen dynasty. It has a three gate entrance with a Buddha statue sitting on the top, and a bell tower below. The pagoda attracts a lot of crowd on the 1st and 15th of every month and during the Tet holiday, when the temple grounds turn into a colorful festival.
