Highlights

Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn Beach is a quiet, compact seaside resort with a village atmosphere and a slightly hippy vibe. Simple shops sell beachwear and Thai crafts, while casual restaurants specialize in local cuisine. Visitors walk the peaceful grounds of Buddhist monastery Wat Nai Harn, and tree-fringed, freshwater Nai Harn Lake is popular for jogging and paddle boating. Nai Harn Beach itself is known for its fine sand.
Phuket
Phuket is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. It consists of the island of Phuket, the country's largest island, and another 32 smaller islands off its coast. It lies off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket Island is connected by the Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga Province to the north. The next nearest province is Krabi, to the east across Phang Nga Bay. Phuket Province has an area of 576 square kilometres (222 sq mi), somewhat less than that of Singapore, and is the second-smallest province of Thailand. The island was on one of the major trading routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in foreign ships' logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch, and English traders, but was never colonised by a European power. It formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber and now from tourism.
Promthep Cape
Promthep Cape is known as an observation deck and is the southernmost part of Phuket Island, located between Rawai and Yanui beaches.
Wat Chalong
The most important of the 29 buddhist temples of Phuket is Wat Chalong or formally Wat Chaiyathararam, located in the Chalong Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District. It is dedicated to two highly venerable monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who led the citizens of Chalong Subdistrict fighting against the Chinese rebellion in 1876 and with their knowledge of herbal medicine helped the injured. The large market at Wat Chalong extends into the grounds of the temple and features amplified pop music and Thai-fighting advertisements. The temple sells trinkets to visitors and the monks assist by storing boxes of items in their main prayer hall.

Itinerary

10:00

Your tour begins as you board your air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic drive to our first stop, Wat Chalong Temple is most revered for the sacred relic that is kept here, a fragment of a bone of the Buddha. The temple has a long history of being associated with healing. Two former abbots of the temple were known for their knowledge of herbal medicine and their work of healing of local people. The viharn contains statues of these two revered monks covered with gold leaves that local people stick there to pay their respect.

Next, Promthep Cape. Delight yourself in panoramic coastal views from the Southern tip of the island all the to Nai Harn Beach. Also, on top of the hill is an elephant shrine which represents wisdom and strength in Buddhist teaching.

Our final stop is the Seashell Museum, home to more than 2000 species including some of the most valuable seashells from all over the world. (if the tour starts in the afternoon, we are unable to visit the Seashell Museum as it will be closed).
