Highlights

Klaipeda
Klaipėda is the third biggest city in Lithuania situated in the Western part of the country, just near the Baltic Sea. The city is the only ice-free sea port and the important economical, educational and transportation center in a country. Klaipėda is a seasonal city: it becomes vibrant, busy and full of tourists recreation center from early May until beginning September. The city can offer a great range of outdoor recreation activities: sailing in the sea, picturesque bicycle tracks, Lithuanian Sea Museum and Dolphinarium, easy access to clean and sandy beaches.
Palanga Amber Museum
Housed in a neoclassical palace built by Count Feliksas Tiskevicius in 1897, this revamped museum showcases what is reputedly the world’s sixth-largest collection of Baltic gold – 20,000-odd examples in all. The exhibits run the gamut from the formation of amber and its early use in Neolithic times to the striking, contemporary jewellery of today, with magnifying glasses allowing you to zoom in on ancient insect life in golden stasis.
Palanga City
Palanga is a seaside resort town in western Lithuania. It is the busiest summer resort in Lithuania and has beaches of sand and sand dunes. In the summer, a multitude of tourists stay on Palanga, both for its beaches and to enjoy the maritime atmosphere. There is a carnival centered on Jonas Basanavičius Street, which is a pedestrian-only thoroughfare during the high season. There are dozens of restaurants, bars, rides, and other forms of entertainment. The Amber Museum is open to the public, as are as the museum's extensive botanical gardens. In the Sculptures Garden, one can find 28 contemporary Art statues by artists from Armenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
