Overview

This 4-hour shore excursion will start with a visit to Margao Market! Upon arrival, you'll be taken to the spice market by a specialized chef! Margao is a truly sublime town, sporting massive Portuguese-style mansions, and of course, its bazaar, which is home to all manner of commodities, and really needs to be seen to be believed. You will have the opportunity to explore and do some shopping while you are there.

The Goa Chitra is an ethnographic museum based in the former Portuguese colony of Goa. It has a large collection—over 4000 artefacts —focusing on Goa's traditional agrarian technology and lifestyle. Goa Chitra is based in the coastal Goan village of Benaulim.

Continuing your tour, you will be taken to your next destination, the Goa Chitra Museum, which was voted the ‘Top Contemporary Museum’. Here you’ll be able to see over 4000 artifacts, ranging from stoneware, agricultural tools, and even musical instruments!

Once you have completed your tour around the museum the tour will continue to Margao’s internationally-acclaimed organic farm. The area is surrounded by 3 sides of water where water is available for 365 days. A perfect place to spend the day.

At the end of the tour, you will be returned to the port to join your ship in plenty of time.
