Once you are comfortable with how your vehicle works, you can begin discovering the East side of Lisbon and the modern landscape created during the World Exhibition of 1998. Today this is a very modern part of the city filled with tall and mirrored buildings on the Tagus riverside. Residential and Business areas harmonize with large gardens and leisure areas scattered in a spectacular way. It makes it hard to believe this used to be an industrial wasteland.
You will come across one of Portugal’s most beautiful shopping malls, in a unique caravels style shape; here you can enjoy a ride on the cable car above the riverside or take a chance at Lisbon Casino! You have ample time to have fun!
Drive your Twizy from the South to the North of the Parque das Nacoes (Nation’s Park) area. Why not enjoy a lovely meal at the best fish restaurants in town? Or, perhaps relax and take in the scenery at one of the many parks and beer gardens along the river? Have your camera at the ready here as there are great photo opportunities near the water-focused exhibits.
The cherry on top of the cake is the world’s best aquarium! This really is unmissable! You have entrance tickets included in the price of your excursion allowing you direct entry, no queuing to enter the Lisbon Oceanarium!
Inside you will find a wide variety of sea life, from birds to mammals, sea life from across the globe lives here in four habitats, the North Atlantic, Antarctic Ocean, Mild Pacific Ocean, and the Mild Indian Ocean.
