Curtis Falls
Located in the heart of Tamborine Mountain, “Curtis Falls” is the only waterfall that can be viewed from the bottom of the falls. The walking track ends at a viewing platform overlooking a large rock pool, with great views of the falls and the surrounding columnar basalt rock face.
Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is a metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia’s east coast. It's famed for its long sandy beaches, surfing spots and elaborate system of inland canals and waterways. It’s also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild. Inland, hiking trails crisscross Lamington National Park’s mountain ridges and valleys, home to rare birds and rainforest.
Tamborine Mountain
Tamborine Mountain is a 28 km2 (11 sq mi) plateau (8 km long by 4 km wide) and locality in the Scenic Rim Region of South East Queensland, Australia. The name is of Aboriginal origin and is frequently misspelled as Tambourine (with a "u") but neither the name nor the place has any connection to the musical instrument. It is considered part of the Gold Coast hinterland and has a strong tourist industry. Tamborine Mountain was inhabited by Aboriginal People for tens of thousands of years and, at the time of early European settlement, lay in the territory of the Wangerriburras. The origin of the name Tamborine comes from the Anglicised version of the Aboriginal word Jambreen from the Yugambeh language. The spelling also appears on early records as Tchambreem and even Goombireen, which means 'wild lime' and refers to the finger lime trees growing on the mountain.
Tamborine Mountain National Park
Tamborine is a national park in the Gold Coast hinterland and is a part of the Scenic Rim Regional Council of South East Queensland, Australia, 45 km (28 mi) south of Brisbane. It covers 11.60 km² on the plateau of Tamborine Mountain and around its foothills. ... Camping is not permitted in any part of the park.
