Alghero is on the North West coast of Sardinia and though it was colonised in the mid 14th century by the Spanish it still retains its Italian influences with fortified walls and a network of narrow streets surrounding the harbour. The narrow streets are mostly free of vehicles and so visitors can relax and enjoy the numerous café’s, restaurants and shops. Being a harbour town, Alghero prides itself on its freshly caught seafood.Located close to Alghero are plentiful places of interest including Grotta di Nettuno, the abandoned mine at Argentiera and Anghelu Ruju.

Although the boat will be shared with other tourists, you will have your own private tour guide to give you an explanation and history of how these caves came to be.
The journey will take you to the peninsula of Capo Caccia, where we will find the entrance to the Caves; only a meter above sea level. Once we enter inside your guide will be pointing out the impressive columns, the salt lake, and the incredible rock formations throughout the journey.
The length of the cave is estimated to be around 4kms, but there are only a few hundred meters that are accessible to visitors.
