The narrow streets are mostly free of vehicles and so visitors can relax and enjoy the numerous café’s, restaurants and shops. Being a harbour town, Alghero prides itself on its freshly caught seafood.Located close to Alghero are plentiful places of interest including Grotta di Nettuno, the abandoned mine at Argentiera and Anghelu Ruju.
