Camp Nou has been home to Barcelona Football Club since 1957. The initial capacity of the stadium was approx. 93,053 and cost 288,088,143 Spanish peseta to complete. Today with a seating capacity of 98,772 it is the largest stadium in Spain by capacity, & it is also the largest stadium in Europe. It is also the 2nd largest association football stadium in the world in terms of capacity. It has hosted numerous international matches at a senior level, including two UEFA Champions League finals and the football competition at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
