The city of Cartagena is steeped in history and this tour is the perfect way to explore ancient ruins, religious architecture and the modern buildings that now line the streets.
You will be met at the port. Your first stop will be the Punic Wall. Your next stop will be the port area and surrounding architecture. The port has several areas of interest within the Maritime sector but also incorporates a vast amount of modern architecture and monuments which bring the port right up to date. You will then move onto the Roman Theatre. This is a very famous landmark in Cartagena and one that the Spanish are very proud of as it is one of only a handful of Roman Theatres remaining and is in fantastic condition.
To complete the tour your guide will take you on a wonderful walking tour of the pedestrian streets of the historic centre where he will talk to you about the ways in which architecture in Cartagena has changed to allow the city to grow and become the beautiful city you see today.
