You will begin your tour with a drive to Chefchaouen. Located high in the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen is a beautiful Medina that was originally a Berber post. In the center of Chefchaouen is the main square, where you will see the kasbah. Originally built in the 18th century, it is now a ruin but still a popular visitor attraction. There is also the stunning central mosque and many cafes with authentic Moroccan-style menus. The markets here sell a mixture of traditional Moroccan and modern souvenirs. Although the Medina is small, you will be able to stroll through the main square at your leisure and explore the souks that sell an array of goods. Why not head onto the Jewish quarter behind the jewelry souk, and see the difference between here and the traditional Arabic feel of the town.
At the end of the tour, you will be returned to the port to re-join your ship in plenty of time.
