Your tour will begin with a drive to the city of El Jadida. This city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site El Jadida was named the New City in the early 1800s. The Portuguese built the fortified city, which originally had five bastions, but today only 4 remain. You will be able to reach them by taking a well-preserved path around the battlements. You will see the Saint-Sébastien bastion with its existing strong defensive walls, and take the ramp which allows you to go down to the Porte de la Mer. Back up on the main street, you can access the Portuguese cistern. Discovered by chance in the early 1960s, and a setting for many historic films, including 'Othello & 'Harem', it is famous for the thin layer of water that covers the floor, which creates reflections & shapes of the columns and roofs.

By continuing the walk, you will arrive at the church of the Assumption opposite a mosque with a unique minaret. It is probably the only pentagonal one in the world.
In the afternoon your tour will continue to Casablanca, where you will see this bustling city including the boulevards and modern infrastructure. Walk around the Habous district with its small squares and narrow arcade streets, an example of contemporary city planning mixed with the traditional maze-like streets. Continue towards the Mohammed V Square, and the lively Central Market. See the Royal Palace, and enjoy the colorful Habous Quarter and the Mehkma (Tribunal). You will visit the marvelous Cathedral Notre Dame de Lourdes and the famous Hassan II Mosque, two religious epicenters.
To finish off your tour, take a stroll down the residential area of Anfa.
At the end of your tour, you will be returned to the port in plenty of time to meet your ship’s departure.
