Highlights

Sanxia District
Sanxia District is an urban district in the southwestern part of New Taipei, Taiwan. It is the second-largest district in New Taipei City after Wulai District. The old name of Sanxia, Sa-kak-eng refers to the meeting of the Dahan River, Sansia River, and Horizontal River. In 1920, Taiwan's Japanese government administratively designated the town as Sankyō, Kaizan District, Taihoku Prefecture.
Sanxia Old Street
Sanxia Old Street refers to the south section of Minquan Street in New Taipei City. Its length is about two hundred meters, and its architecture dates back to the early days when the Republic of China was newly established. Walking along Sanxia Old Street is like walking into a time tunnel; the arched red brick hallways, the traditional architecture, the beams, columns, ancient wooden plaques, the squat maidens walls and the figure carvings upon the buildings are all very unique. Walking along this ancient street brings a feeling of nostalgia for the good old days, and makes visitors want to linger.
Tai-Hwa Pottery
When Tai-Hwa Pottery was founded in 1983, it created ceramics both for daily use and for display. It mainly worked as a contract manufacturer, making antique-style hand-thrown, unglazed and single-color glaze pottery for export markets, including Hong Kong and the United States. Tai-Hwa Pottery is a great treasure-house of beautifully crafted ceramics pieces, from traditional Chinese to modern/abstract; produces diplomatic gifts for the ROC President’s office. Margaret Thatcher, British Prime Minister, visited this store and fell in love. Thus, she decided to collect their products and make memorabilia and a museum out of it.
Taipei
Taipei, officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, ROC). Located in northern Taiwan, Taipei City is an enclave of the municipality of New Taipei City that sits about 25 km southwest of the northern port city of Keelung. Most of the city lies in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed. The basin is bounded by the relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.
Yingge District
Yingge District is an urban district located on the Dahan River in southwestern New Taipei City in northern Taiwan It is famous for the production of porcelain and an abundance of art studios and shops. Yingge is the pottery capital of Taiwan, producing high-quality ceramics since the early 1800s with over 800 resident artists. The street is made up of cobblestone with over 100 attractive outlets selling everything from inexpensive cups to costly handcrafted statues.
Zushi Temple
The Zushi Temple is a Taoist temple along Sanxia Old Street in Sanxia District, New Taipei, Taiwan. Qingshui, known locally as Zushi-Gong, is the principal god worshiped at Zushi Temple. Zushi Temple was first built during the Qing Dynasty in 1767 by Hokkien immigrants from Anxi County, Quanzhou Municipality, Fujian Province in China. It has been reconstructed three times. Its last reconstruction started in 1947, is best known for being the masterpiece of renowned Taiwanese artist, Li Meishu.
