Highlights

Kbal Chhay Waterfall
Kbal Chhay Waterfall is a waterfall approximately 7 km from the city of Sihanoukville in south-west Cambodia and then a further 9 km along a red dust track. Until 1963 Kbal Chhay was a source for providing clean-water to Sihanoukville, but the arrangement ended when it became a hiding place for the Khmer Rouge. In 1998 Kbal Chhay was developed by the Kok An Company who in constructing a road in the area developed the site for local and international tourists. Today the Royal Government of Cambodia has regained control of the site and once again uses it as a clean water source for the nearby city.
Ream National Park
Ream National Park, its official name is Preah Sihanouk Ream National Park, is a national park of Cambodia located 18 km (11 mi) from Sihanoukville city in the Prey Nob district of the Sihanoukville Province in south-eastern Cambodia. It was established in 1993, as the Cambodian government began to take action for the protection of the country's threatened natural resources. The national park's biological value is defined by its combination of rivers, forests, mangroves, estuaries, beaches, coral reefs, wildlife, and marine life.

Itinerary

08:00

You’ll begin with a tour around a section of the park, where your local guide will give you a brief history of the land and how it came to be what you see before you today. You’ll pass mangrove forests, luscious golden beaches, and towering hills, before getting off your couch and jumping on a boat to Sam Poch Island.

Here, you will visit a thriving fishing village that uses the abundance of marine life in the park’s water to trawl from. It’s a fascinating insight into how these people live and how the water here is an essential part of the community.

You’ll then head back to the mainland to visit a local market, where you’ll be able to pick up a selection of food and drinks or locally crafted gifts. From here you’ll take the short journey to the Kbal Chhai waterfalls set within the gorgeous forest. It’s a truly incredible sight and one which you won’t forget.

The final stop is a trip to the historical town of Wat Krom. Explore the town’s historical streets and see some of the magnificent monuments to the ancient leaders which shaped this region’s past.

At the end of the tour, you will return to the ship plenty of time in advance before your ship’s departure.
