Basilica of San Marino
The Basilica di San Marino is a Catholic church located in the Republic of San Marino. While the country has a distinct domination of historic religious buildings of Christian faith, the basilica is the main church of the City of San Marino.
Monte Titano
Monte Titano is a mountain of the Apennines and the highest peak in San Marino. It stands 739 m above sea level and is located immediately to the east of the capital, San Marino. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 under the combined title "San Marino Historic Centre and Mount Titano".
Palazzo Pubblico
The Palazzo Pubblico is a palace in Siena, Tuscany, central Italy. Construction began in 1297 to serve as the seat of the Republic of Siena's government, which consisted of the Podestà and Council of Nine, the elected officials who performed executive functions
San Marino
San Marino is a mountainous microstate surrounded by north-central Italy. Among the world’s oldest republics, it retains much of its historic architecture. On the slopes of Monte Titano sits the capital, also called San Marino, known for its medieval walled old town and narrow cobblestone streets. The Three Towers, castlelike citadels dating to the 11th century, sit atop Titano’s neighboring peaks.

Itinerary

09:00

You will be met at the port of Ravenna by an English-speaking driver who will bear a sign with your name, ready to escort you to your private air-conditioned vehicle.

The Republic of San Marino is the oldest republic in the world and was included in the prestigious list of World Heritage List of Unesco in 2008.

Its origins are linked to the mysterious figure of Saint Marino, a stonecutter from Dalmatia who sought refuge here in order to flee religious persecution by Emperor Diocletian in 301. This fascinating City-State is a charming medieval jewel that rises on the top of Mount Titano.

San Marino stands out as a perfect balance of ancient traditions, like the fact the small State is governed by two Captains Regent, and outstanding artworks, such as the sumptuous palaces which still host ancient traditional ceremonies and rituals.

San Marino’s fascination is complemented by the outstanding natural beauty of Mount Titano, which gathers enchanting landscapes and scenic wonders.

You will see the outstanding monuments and buildings which punctuate the City-State, such as the Basilica of the Saint, Palazzo Pubblico, Titano Theatre, the fortified city walls, and the historical palaces which command the city’s most characteristic quarters.
