Highlights

Bopiliao Historical Block
Historic city block featuring traditional 18th-century architecture, plus an educational center. Originally the main road connecting the area surrounding Longshan Temple to the Guting area (nearby the present-day Shi-Da Night Market), the road is now preserved by the city government as a historical and cultural district where visitors can admire many different architectural styles.
Cing Cao Lane
Just on the left of Longshan Temple (as you exit) is an old alley with shops catering various types of herbs known for centuries for their different health benefits and treatments. Cing Cao Lane is such a strange and fascinating little street. If you are in the area to see Longshan Temple, then, by all means, Swing around and see this place. It is adjacent to the temple. It is one small lane with nothing but herb vendors. The street is made up of a narrow bazaar with all kind of herbs and ancient remedies sold.
Longshan Temple
Bangka Lungshan Temple is a Chinese folk religious temple in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan. The temple was built in Taipei in 1738 by settlers from Fujian during Qing rule in honor of Guanyin. It served as a place of worship and a gathering place for the Chinese settlers.
Taipei
Taipei, officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, ROC). Located in northern Taiwan, Taipei City is an enclave of the municipality of New Taipei City that sits about 25 km southwest of the northern port city of Keelung. Most of the city lies in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed. The basin is bounded by the relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.
Wanhua District
Wanhua District is a bustling area home to the 18th-century Longshan Temple, with its intricate wood carvings, colorful figures, and striking pillars. Preserved historic buildings, including some from the Qing Dynasty period, line the Bopiliao Historical Block, a former commercial area. Busy Snake Alley night market on Huaxi Street brims with food stalls serving delicacies such as snake soup.
Wanhua Lin House
Wanhua Lin House is a historic mansion in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan. The construction of the mansion started in 1932 and completed in 1935. It used deep foundation and reinforced concrete in its construction process with cement supplied by Asano Cement and discarded railway tracks. In 2013, the building was leased to cultural and creative activities under the Urban Regeneration Office and became the venue for toy exhibition. It was then undergone renovation and finally was opened to the public in April 2016. It was inaugurated by Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je on 27 May 2016.
Xinfu Market
Close to Longshan Temple and Bopiliao Historical Block, the Dongsanshui Street Market is nearby and worth the walk-thru visit. Vendors lined on both sides of the alley. Dry goods vary from ladies' clothing, suitcases and luggage, fresh meat and fresh seafood, to sweets and snacks shops. Even last-minute souvenirs can be found here. The place is colorful, noisy, and full of surprises.
