Highlights

Fürstenhof
The Fürstenhof, at one time a ducal residence, but now occupied by the municipal authorities, is a richly decorated specimen of the Italian early Renaissance style.
Market Square
Located at the South Harbour at one end of the Esplanade Park, the Market Square is Helsinki's most international and famous market. The booths here sell traditional market foods and treats, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs. There are also heated café tents where you can comfortably have a steaming hot coffee even on the coldest days in winter.
St Mary Basilica
For several long centuries the largest Lutheran church in the world was St. Mary’s Church in Gdansk – an enormous structure built from brick in Gothic style. The interior vault supports 37 windows, over 300 tombstones and 31 chapels. It can hold up to 25,000 people, which was useful during the period of martial law between 1981 and 1983 when members of the Solidarity movement sought refuge here. Of note is the enormous astronomical clock dating from 1464. Its complex dials show the time and date, phases of the moon, the position of the moon and sun in relation to the zodiac signs, and the calendar of saints. According to legend, the clock's creator had his eyes gouged out so he'd never make a clock to better than this one. The 78-metre tower, which involves climbing 405 steps, houses a viewing platform with cracking views of Gdańsk Old Town.
St. George's Church
The St. George's Church is one of the three main churches of Wismar and an outstanding monument of north-German brick Gothic. It was once the church of craftsmen and craftsmen. The origins of St. George's lie in the 13th century and its construction dates back to the eventful period of the late Middle Ages and the Reformation.
Typical Merchant's Houses
Traditional red brick houses are a feature of all Hanseatic cities. Wismar has a great number of those carefully preserved. Wismar’s original city centre with its almost fully intact rows of historical houses has been preserved in a unique state of completeness.
