Highlights

Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.
Moorish Castle
The Moorish Castle is the name given to a medieval fortification in Gibraltar comprising various buildings, gates, and fortified walls, with the dominant features being the Tower of Homage and the Gate House. Part of the castle itself also housed the prison of Gibraltar until it was relocated in 2010.
St. Michael’s Cave
St. Michael's Cave or Old St. Michael's Cave is the name given to a network of limestone caves located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, at a height of over 300 metres above sea level.

When visiting Gibraltar the Rock Tour is a must. Our air-conditioned mini-buses and driver/guide meet us at the port and we begin our tour by driving along Winston Churchill Avenue, to the Spanish border we then proceed to the East Side of the Rock, through the Dudley Ward Tunnel to Europa Point the most southerly point of Gibraltar.

From this vantage point, on a clear day, the North coast of Africa can be seen. We then proceed to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve to visit the spectacular St Michael’s Cave. The cave is full of fine examples of stalactites and stalagmites that have been sculptured through the centuries.

St Michael’s Cave has 75 steps at the exit; however, those guests with walking difficulties may exit the caves via the entrance. We then proceed to visit Gibraltar’s most respected residents the ‘Barbary Apes’ – these cheeky and sometimes naughty monkeys roam freely over the rocks and are not averse to helping themselves to handbags, cameras, and food! It is said that Gibraltar will remain British as long as the apes remain on the Rock.

Our tour then continues past the Moorish Castle en route back through the Old Town to
