It is surrounded by Fuhe River in the east, Zhongshan Bridge in the south, Lijiang River in the west and Tengwang Pavilion in the north. The environment is beautiful. The main building is made of the white porcelain three-tube excavated from Jingdezhen Yuyao in the Ming Dynasty. The museum, the revolution hall and the natural museum are all in one. The ancient ceramic art and modern architectural style are ingeniously integrated into one, solemn and elegant, unique.
Nanchang
Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province, is situated on the bank of the Yangtze River, and serves as the center of the provincial politics, economy, culture, science, education, commerce, and transportation. Nanchang was established in 202 BC as a city. With over 2000 years of history, Nanchang is a famous historical and cultural city in China. Nanchang, as a renowned revolutionary base in China, is the place where "August 1 Nanchang Uprising" took place. Since then the city has been praised as the rising place of red army flags. Besides, Nanchang is famous for its numerous natural attractions and rich tourist resources. Places of historical and cultural interest blend with beautiful natural scenery. Inside the city many rivers flow through and form a waterway network. There are four artificial lakes inside the city, which are West Lake, South Lake, North Lake and East Lake. Famous tourist attractions in Nanchang include Teng Wang Pavilion, Poyang Lake, Mount Lushan and Mount Jinggangshan.
Nanchang August 1st Uprising Monument
The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Monument is located at the southern end of the People's Square in the center of the city. It was built in 1977 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "August 1st" uprising and is the spiritual coordinates of Nanchang City. The top of the tower consists of an upright granite rifle and a flag of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with red granite tiles. Multi-layer lights and multiple sets of projection lights are set up on the upper and lower sides of the memorial tower. At night, the tower body is bright and transparent, especially beautiful.
Nanchang Bayi Square
Bayi Square in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China was built from August 1, 1977 to January 8, 1979, in memory of Nanchang Uprising (aka. August 1, 1927 Uprising). The size of this square is 78,000 m2 now after a reconstruction taking place beginning in 2002. Since the day it was finished, it has always been the second largest square in China, after Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Ever since it was constructed, this square became a main site for most big-scale ceremonies and marches. To ordinary residents, due to the extremely hot and humid climate in Nanchang, the square was a popular place for outdoor lounging during summer nights until recent years when more and more families are able to afford air conditioning. A music fountain, which was built in the south of the square has become a favourite destination for people, especially in summer nights.
Shengjin Pagoda
The Shengjin Pagoda (or Rope and Gold Pagoda) constructed in the Tang Dynasty is located on Shengjinta Street of Nanchang. It is the citie's most wondrous ancient construction. With a height of 58.7 meters and a base circumference of 33.8 meters it really represents a work of ground art. It is said that inside the pagoda once laid several precious artifacts including 4 turns of gold ropes, 3 ancient swords and over 300 Buddhist relics, thus the pagoda was named Shengjin Pagoda (Rope and Gold Pagoda).
Tengwang Pavilion
The Pavilion of Prince Teng is a building in the north west of the city of Nanchang, in Jiangxi province, China, on the east bank of the Gan River and is one of the Three Great Towers of southern China. The other two are the Yueyang Tower and the Yellow Crane Pavilion. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over its history. The present building was rebuilt in 1989 on the original site. The rebuilding plan was devised by the architect Liang Sicheng, and now the Pavilion of Prince Teng is the landmark of Nanchang. There are nine floors in total. The main architectural structure is in Song dynasty wooden style, showing the magnificence of the Pavilion.
