The Acropolis stood on the top of the hill above the sea and is of remarkable interest for its necropolis towers and bridges. Almost everything was destroyed by the earthquake in Byzantine times. Columns and remains of massive Greek temples characterize the park. In the western part of the hill, passengers can visit Temple C, which has 14 columns lifted up to show the splendor of the construction and is one of the oldest examples of Doric style dated VI century BC, well preserved its basement of the altar.
During the visit, it is possible to admire ruins of houses with baths and imposing fortifications from the IV century BC. In the eastern part of the hill, there are ruins of 3 Temples. Temple E was rebuilt in 1956 and in ancient times probably was dedicated to Hera. Temple F remains mysterious because a big quantity of the stones was taken away from the site and used for construction. Temple G all destroyed, huge drums of columns still laying in the same place show that this temple was big as a football field. After the visit passengers will have some free time and then return to the ship.
