The island of Santorini Greece or Thira is located in the Cyclades islands, in the middle of the Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea. The island of Santorini is related to the myth of Atlantis, the amazing views from the villages of Fira, Oia perched on cliffs. Around 1500 BC, the volcano of Santorini Island in Greece exploded and the eruption was so strong that the center of the island sank and took the shape of the caldera that can be seen today. The island of Santorini is considered one of the most beautiful islands and has many beaches. The most famous are Perissa, Kamari, and Red Beach. Perissa and Kamari have a large and endless black sandy beach while the famous Red beach of Greece is composed of black and red volcanic rocks.

Itinerary
10:00
The tour starts from the cable car of Fira, then the bus picks us up after 5 minutes of walking (the traditional alleys are not accessible by car).
Our first stop is Oia where some free time is given for about an hour for walking around and shopping. Oia enjoys a hilltop location that offers breathtaking views across the Gulf of Santorini. You can enjoy the surroundings, do a little souvenir shopping and take lunch if you so wish. Our professional Escort will be on hand to recommend the best taverns & restaurants to dine in.
After Oia, we head to a traditional Santorinian Winery for some wine tasting. This will last for approx. 45 -60 minutes.
Please note: The tasting of the wine will be for adults over the age of 18 years only, children will not be allowed to participate.
Then we return to Fira where the group is led by the Escort back to the cable car. If there is enough time until the departure of the cruise ship suggestions will be given, on how the group can spend their free time in Fira before they take the cable car to the Old Port.
