Overview
After you have disembarked your tender boat, you will be guided to the Traditional wooden boat in preparation for your boat trip. The first stop will be the island of Nea Kameni which is still classed as an active volcano. Visitors and tourists from all over the world are attracted to this island due to the history and also the powerful sulfur springs. This island is approximately 2kms in length and is not habituated. Once the traditional boat has ported, we will disembark and have a guided walking tour to the craters.

Highlights
Nea Kameni
The uninhabited island of Nea Kameni forms part of Santorini’s archipelago caldera and is made up of black lava rock. It is a popular day trip from Fira or Athinios ports on Santorini for its views of neighboring islands and the steep walking paths through Nea Kameni Volcanic Park, which pass active, smoking craters created over the last few centuries. Several sulfurous hot springs are found just off the shoreline.

- Collect from the old port of Fira (straight off the ship’s tender)
- Sail to the island of Nea Kameni
- Walking tour to the craters (approximately 90 minutes on the island)
- Board the wooden boat and sail to Nea Kameni
- Opportunity to swim to the sulfur waters (30 minutes)
- Sail back to the old port of Fira
