Highlights

Ban Kwan Chang Elephant Camp
Ban Kwan Chang, generally considered to be the best elephant trekking camp on Koh Chang, is located in Klong Son at the end the narrow road that leads to the waterfall, Klong Jao Leuam. The Ban Kwan Chang camp was established to give threatened elephants from mainland Thailand a sanctuary, as many working elephants were being displaced by loss of their natural habitat and loss of their employment as working elephants
Chao Por Koh Chang Shrine
Chao Po Koh Chang shrine is one of the oldest and most respected spiritual centers of the island, both for locals and for visitors to Koh Chang. The name of the Chinese shrine located in Ao Sapparod means in literary translation as "Holy father Koh Chang".
Koh Chang
The island Koh Chang occupies most of the Koh Chang district's land area, along with several smaller islands. With an area of 210 km2, Koh Chang is the third-largest island in Thailand by area, after Phuket and Ko Samui. The name Koh Chang means 'Elephant Island' and derives from its elephant-shaped headland. Despite the presence of elephants on the island, they are not indigenous. At present, there are eight villages on the island. Koh Chang is part of an archipelago of 52 islands. It is approximately 30 km long by 14 km, wide. It is part of the Mu Ko Chang National Park, which covers an area of 650 km2, of which 70 percent is offshore.
Salak Khok
The Salak Khok is a mangrove forest of Koh Chang with a very interesting natural habitat where the fisherman are living in houses build on stilzes.
Salak Phet
Fortunately, Baan Salak Phet takes part of the 5 villages being under an administration having concerns for the environment and protecting for posterity the beauty of this wild sanctuary. Baan Salak Phet keeps on being a peaceful village relying on traditional livelihoods such as fishing, palm trees plantations and orchards. Salakphet itself is both the name for this area of the island and of one single village. The land at the head of the bay is all mangroves.
Than Mayom Waterfall
Than Mayom is a medium sized waterfall with 4 levels. Located on Koh Chang's east coast. The Waterfall can be reached by following a short path through the fruit orchards at the rear of the Marine National Park Office.
