Highlights

Fushan Mountain
Fushan’s original name was Fu Feng Shan and it was also once called Wen Feng Shan. It is about 5 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide with an area of 7.5 square kilometers. The main peak is the highest in Qingdao at approximately 384 meters. Fushan is at the junction of Qingdao and Laoshan, also separating the north and south of the city in the eastern end of the Qingdao peninsula. Fushan offers great views of the city and the ocean. Qingdao University and Ocean University are both at the foot of Fushan and are well known departure points for climbing.
May Fourth Square
May Fourth Square is a large public square in Qingdao's central business district. It is located between the new municipal government building and Fushan Bay and is composed of Shizhengting Square, the central square and the coastal park. Named after the nationwide protest May Fourth Movement that started in Qingdao, the square is best recognized by the large "May Wind" sculpture near the seaside. The square is a popular tourist destination, and is bordered by the city government to the north, the sea to the south, and residential and commercial buildings on either side. On pleasant days May Fourth Square fills with young couples on the ground and kites in the air.
Pichai Yuan
The Pichai Yuan is located in Qingdao City. The Pichai Yuan road is also called Jangling Road. It was built in 1902, after the German occupation of Qingdao. The alleys of PiChai Yuan (PiChai Courtyard) are filled with traditional Chinese charm and amazing fresh food. The street is packed with stalls and restaurants offering Qingdao’s famous seafood. This is the perfect place to try some delicious food while enjoying the atmosphere of this Old Town treasure.
Qingdao
Qingdao is regarded by some Chinese as one of the most beautiful and clean cities in China. It has a population of around 3.5 million (8 million regional) and is the largest city in Shandong Province. The name Qingdao means The Blue/Green Island. In 2012, Qingdao was named China's most livable city. While Qingdao has a long history, the eastern half of the city has been built since 1993, and there is no sign of it slowing down. In 2008, it hosted the sailing events of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Qingdao is an ideal destination if you want to combine sea-side fun with your trip to China. Qingdao does not have swarming markets, unpredictable traffic and intense street commerce. The city is relatively clean and orderly and might give the impression of an upcoming wanna-be Singapore.
Qingdao St. Michael's Cathedral
Constructed in 1932 and completed in 1934, designed by German designer in the light of Gothic and Romanesque, the Catholic Church of Qingdao, with the autonym being St. Michael's Church, is the largest Gothic architecture in Qingdao, the only consecration church in China, and a masterpiece of Christian architecture art.
Signal Hill Park
Signal Hill, known in Mandarin as Xinhao Shan, is a public park in Qingdao’s Old Town crowned by three red globes and communication antennae that attest to the hill’s use as a natural watchtower. The peak affords climbers a lookout over the green space surrounding Daxue Lu, Dongfang Hotel, Xiao Qingdao (Little Qingdao, the small island with a white lighthouse), and the Yellow Sea.
